I've used this particular cicada in several pieces.  However when I went to photograph this wing, I caught a little light reflecting on the wing, turning it the lovliest color of blue.  The wing is not actually blue- it's just an illusion!  The cicada, Megapomponia imperatoria, is the largest cicada on earth with a wingspan of over 7 inches!
